OJSC “Shchurovsky Cement” is the oldest cement plant in Russia, which started production in 1870. The cement plant is located in the city of Kolomna. The project will focus on switching technology from a wet to dry production process. The main purpose of this JI project is to implement energy saving measures, including the replacement of the two wet rotary kilns to one dry rotary kiln in 2010. Global Carbon BV is developing all documentation for this project including an approach to set the baseline and estimate the emission reductions.
