Mr. Jacquelin Ligot
Jacquelin Ligot has spent the most of his twenty-year career in finance and project financing. Between 1994 and 2008, he was a banker at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London, an international financial institution, which helps build market economies in 29 Central and Eastern European and Former Soviet Union Countries and Turkey. Between 1995 and 2000, he specialized in municipal infrastructure transactions. In 2000, he became the Director of EBRD’s Energy Efficiency and Climate Change Team, which has responsibility for all sustainable energy activities and investments of EBRD, including carbon credit transactions. Prior to EBRD, he was a senior official in the finance department for the City of Paris.
After leaving EBRD in 2008, Mr. Ligot collaborated with IDEAcarbon/The carbon rating agency, which assesses risks of and assigns ratings to carbon credit transactions. He is also consultant with a focus on the financing of sustainable energy projects.
Mr. Ligot is a graduate of Paris-based Institut d’Etudes Politiques (Sciences-Po), and Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA), and holds an MBA from the London Business School. He speaks fluent English, French and Italian and is learning Russian.
Mr. Matthew Shaw
Matthew Shaw has held a number of senior positions in international banks for the last 20 years focusing exclusively on emerging markets and transition economies.
Since 2003, Matthew Shaw has been an Advisor to Gazprombank and in this capacity has advised the bank on its approach to the Kyoto Protocol. He was instrumental in the establishment of Carbon Trade & Finance – a special carbon joint venture between Gazprombank and Commerzbank Corporates & Markets – and currently serves as a Gazprombank nominated Executive Director on the Board of Directors.
Prior to joining Gazprombank, Matthew worked as an Executive Director at UBS where he was responsible for an emerging markets proprietary trading desk. Following UBS he became a partner and later General Manager of DEPFA Investment Bank. Here he was responsible for several key transactions for sovereign and corporate borrowers in Central and Eastern Europe and Russia.
He holds degrees from Manchester (BA) and Bradford University (MBA).
Mr. Ton Huls
Ton Huls is Chief Financial Officer – Allseeds Group Public Co Limited. He has been the CFO of Allseeds since September 2007. Prior to his current role, he served as a Board Member and the Head of Corporate Banking at ING Bank Ukraine in Kyiv. He also served as a Director at ING Amsterdam in structured commodity finance and was the Team Head Oil & gas and Agriculture for CIS and Eastern Europe.
Mr. Huls graduated from the State University of Groningen (the Netherlands) with a degree in business administration, specializing in management accounting and international finance.
He has been active in the CIS and Ukraine since 1996 and speaks Dutch, English, French, German and has basic knowledge in Russian language.
