The Global Carbon management in the Netherlands, Russia and Ukraine:
Mr. Erik Saat – Director

Erik Saat is a Director and Co-founder of Global Carbon B.V. Erik has an extensive network of contacts in the international GHG emission reductions market within governments and ERU sellers in Central and Eastern Europe and ERU buyers in Western Europe.
Previously, Erik Saat worked with the Dutch government agency SenterNovem responsible for the purchase of the first ever carbon credits from Kyoto projects located in Bulgaria, the Czech and Slovak Republic, as well as from Panama, Costa Rica, and El Salvador. The contracts he concluded on behalf of the Dutch government exceeded 28 million CERs and ERUs.
He holds a Masters Degree in Thermal Power Engineering from the Delft University of Technology. Erik executed his Masters thesis at ABB (now Alstom) Power Plant Laboratories in Hartford, Connecticut, USA. In addition to Dutch, he is fluent in English, intermediate in German and Spanish and basic in Russian.
Mr. Lennard de Klerk – Director

Lennard de Klerk is a Director and Co-founder of Global Carbon B.V. Lennard de Klerk was one of the pioneers of the Joint Implementation mechanism, in particular in developing the use of JI in Ukraine and Russia.
Lennard has extensive work experience and background in Eastern Europe. Previously, he was the deputy manager of the Carboncredits.nl team for the Dutch government agency SENTER. There, he was responsible for the development of GHG emission reduction projects in Ukraine, the Baltic States, and the Russian Federation. In addition, he also managed the procurement of GHG credits from South America. Prior to working with the Dutch Government, he managed the Kyiv office of the Dutch consultancy and engineering company Tebodin, and worked on assignments involving institutional projects such as Tacis and EBRD, as well as providing services to commercial clients.
Lennard holds a Masters Degree in Electrical Power Engineering from the Delft University of Technology. He studied at the Technical University of Berlin and at the Moscow Power Engineering Institute. In addition Dutch, he is fluent in English, German, and Russian.
Mr. Anthony Khaskelis

Anthony Khaskelis is the Managing Director of the Russian office in Moscow. Anthony has extensive experience working in governmental and private commercial sectors in USA and Eastern Europe, including profound knowledge and expertise in GHG emission reduction operations in Russia.
Anthony spent several years working in the R&D sector for the U.S. Government in the areas of photovoltaic cells and other renewable energy sources. He participated in joint Russia-US program for chemical weapons destruction in Russia. Later on, Anthony spent several years developing chemical fertilizer and oil& gas projects under the Kyoto protocol in Russia and Ukraine.
Anthony Khaskelis holds a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, MBA in Finance and International Business from the University of Cincinnati. In addition to English, he is fluent in Russian and Ukrainian.
Mr. Richard Selby
Richard Selby is Managing Director of the Ukrainian office in Kyiv. His responsibilities include managing the overall direction and the commercial activities of Global Carbon in Ukraine.
Richard Selby is a veteran in the carbon world bringing more than 23 years of business experience to Global Carbon. Richard served four years in Moscow and Minsk with a USAID environmental contractor, was the General Manager of Russian Operations for Dow AgroSciences, was a Global Vice President for Gas Pipelines at Compressor Controls Corporation working in energy efficiency and most recently served as Regional Vice President for Eastern Europe in AES’s Climate Solutions Division focusing on JI project development and implementation. AES is one of the world’s largest power companies.
Richard graduated from the University of Iowa majoring in Russian and Business Administration and also has an MBA in Finance. He speaks Russian fluently.
